School of Education

The field of Education is comprised of three departments as follows:

1. Department of Education, major in Childhood Education. (Bachelor Degree. Course duration 5 years)

The courses are designed to integrate theories and real-life practice. Every academic term at Rung Aroon School, students will have a chance to observe, practice and obtain professional skill. They will have study trips to observe teaching method at other education establishments. Various innovative device, that comply with early childhood development such as music, body movement (physical education, arts and acting) and multi-grade teaching will be instructed in Child Study program. Students will be taught by the Active Learning method which will inspire them in how to listen, speak, read, write and be considerate. After Action Review will give the students an opportunity to individually exchange his/her working experience with teachers. This process will enhance and broaden their knowledge and Action Research will elevate students perspective with the scientific approach.

2. Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession (One Year Post Graduate Program)

Real life teaching experiences in actual classrooms are the source of this program. Students will be instructed to use the method of Self Reflection to evaluate themselves and be willing to improve themselves and their method of teaching for the sake of their students. To understand children individually and create teaching techniques to help children who have problems with their learning, psychological skill and embedded formative assessment will also apply. After action review and research-based contents will help students to obtain knowledge in a systematic manner.

3. Master Degree in Education, major in Holistic Education. (Master Degree. Course duration 2 years)

The programs are designed for the students to acquire knowledge from their work-based experiences and be able to integrate them into their body of knowledge. In class, they will practice research skills and action research until they can develop accurate skills in doing research methodology both in term paper and thesis and can apply to benefit their works. Students will have skill in innovating their knowledge and their subject teaching and be able to set up learning communities by themselves. Knowing how to practice self-reflection to improve their thinking in daily life and holistic thinking that enable them to envision the connection among classroom, education movement and social change.
